The Nam Kan National Park is located in Bo Keo Province, adjacent to Thailand. This newly created Park covers 136.000 ha of mixed deciduous forest. Traces of traditional agriculture can be seen alongside the road running from Thailand to China. Still, there lies one of the most pristine Lao forests, shelter to rare wildlife and Lao's biggest tree.
Nam Et–Phou Louey National Protected Area is located in the north-east of Laos. With an area of 4,229 km2, it is the largest of Laos’ national parks, covering seven districts and three provinces. Mostly hilly or mountainous, it is the source of many rivers. The area has primary forest remaining in many areas, a high level of biodiversity, and a number of endangered species including tiger, gaur, Sambar deer, and white-cheeked gibbon.
Some un-touched places such as Nong Kiau and Muong Ngoi are also included in this program, so you can experience an authentic Lao nature and culture.
Best time to go:
Dry season in Laos starts from October and ends in April. Rainy season are marked with “Pimai” water festival - the traditional Lao New Year. Dry season is the best time for travelling in Laos and it’s also peak season for tourism in three Indochina Countries: Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.

This tour can be suitable for tourists who enter Laos via Huay Xai, bordering with Thailand. You can spend the 1st night in Bokeo and 2nd night will be in a tree house, back to Huay Xai for one night before proceeding to Nong Kiau, one night in Nong Kiau and drive to the East. Spend a night in Vieng Thong, one night in Nam Et Phou Louey National Park in a bamboo hut. One extra night in Vieng Thong and then join in a trekking tour for 2 nights with one night in Bamboo hut and one night in special nest (you can extend your trekking route to 3-4 nights). Return to Vieng Thong for one more night, drive to Luang Prabang next morning. Finish your holiday with 2 or 3 nights in Luang Prabang. Thus, this package can be 13 days/12 nights or longer….
