Inhabitants of the park include 97 species of mammals, most notable endangered langurs;
300 species of birds; 36 reptilian species; 17 species of amphibians; 11 species of fish; 2,000 species of vascular plants, and thousands of species of insects.
Center Vietnam
Best time to go: 7 months of summer from March to September
310 species of mammals, 296 reptile species, 162 amphibian species
700 freshwater species of fish and 2000 species of marine fish, 889 species of birds and 310 species of land mollusks.
South Vietnam
Best time to go: 6 months of dry season from November to April
It includes 348 species of 64 families and 18 sets in which 31 specious and rare species have been discovered and listed in Vietnamese Red Book
Animals: including 103 species of 29 fiirniiies, 11 sets in which 25 species listed in Vietnamese Red Book
North Vietnam
Best time to go: 6 months from October to March
The National Park is a living space for 250 species of birds (150 migratory and 50 water bird species) from 41 families and 13 orders. 9 species are designated as endangered in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species for example the spoon-billed sandpiper and Nordmann's greenshank.

198 species of birds, of them 16 are considered rare and endemic species, especially Sarus crane (crane with its distinctive red head and bare neck), an extremely rare species recorded in the Red Book
