WILDLIFE AND OFF-BEATEN TRACK LAOS

Nam Et–Phou Louey National Protected Area is located in the north-east of Laos. With an area of 4,229 km2, it is the largest of Laos’ national parks, covering seven districts and three provinces. Mostly hilly or mountainous, it is the source of many rivers. The area has primary forest remaining in many areas, a high level of biodiversity, and a number of endangered species including tiger, gaur, Sambar deer, and white-cheeked gibbon.
Some un-touched places such as Nong Kiau and Muong Ngoi are also included in this program, so you can experience an authentic Lao nature and culture. 
Best time to go:
Dry season in Laos starts from October and ends in April. Rainy season is marked with “Pimai” water festival - the traditional Lao New Year. Dry season is the best time for travelling in Laos and it’s also peak season for tourism in three Indochina Countries: Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.

Let’s say that you can start with 11 days/10 nights. You can fly to Vientiane, stay there for 2 nights, then fly to Xieng Khuang for visiting Plain of Jars. Next, drive to Vieng Thong in North-Eastern Laos, one night in Vieng Thong and connect to 2 days/1 night Wildlife safari in Nam Et Phou Louey National Park. Keep driving to Nong Kiau, 2 nights in Nong Kiau and the last is 3 nights in Luang Prabang. We can lengthen or shorten the tour based on your time constraint.
